A fully supported internship package for students accepted to the NYC SYEP Ladders for Leaders program. The package includes placement at an approved ABT worksite (frequently a Black-owned small business or employer partner), coaching during the internship, and an updated resume/LinkedIn profile. ABT’s model now intentionally links the internship to year-round supports: students are recruited and prepared via the Fall/Winter L4L Application Boot Camp and the Spring Pre-Professional Readiness Boot Camp so they arrive at their internship ready to succeed.

These internships turn short-term summer work into long-term opportunity: measurable skills, industry networks, and a stronger, evidence-based post-secondary resume. ABT’s model intentionally links high-quality internship experiences to college and career outcomes (intern capstones, mentor feedback, and internship deliverables).
